The Interventional Pulmonology department was established in Nov 2023 under the leadership of Professor Kamran Chima by Dr. Muhammad Hussain. It was established to facilitate the patients requiring bronchoscopic interventions related to diagnosis and treatment of patients affected by pulmonary diseases. It is one of its kind departments with all the latest machinery and skilled personnel providing Endobronchial ultrasound, pleuroscopy, tumor debulking tracheal stenting and various procedures for tracheal stenosis. So far, more than 40 EBUS guided biopsies, more than 50 tracheal dilations, several tumor debulking and other diagnostic and therapeutic endobronchial interventions have been carried out.
Our mission is to provide minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic services to the patients from all over Pakistan at minimal cost. We are aiming to make this department a training institution for interventional pulmonology. We are committed to provide the latest and minimally invasive life-saving interventions in the field of pulmonary medicine to patients of Pakistan. Our team is dedicated to treat and keep close follow up of patients.
